Objectives:

1. To coordinate the project and the implementation of WPs.

2. To operate the office of management and support.

3. To ensure the financial monitoring, assessment, and timely completion of project’s deliverables.

Description of work

Task 1.1. Project Coordination: Prof. George A. Garinis is the TRIAD Coordinator (CO) and will be responsible for the overall management of the project. The CO will i) act as the project's representative in all communications with the Program Officer (PO) and the Research Executive Agency, ii) provide guidance and leadership to the participants in implementing the necessary developments for the successful execution of the project, iii) ensure effective information exchange among project participants, iv) compile and issue both periodic and final scientific reports, v) manage the administrative and financial reporting processes and vi) supervise the efficient implementation of program activities.

Task 1.2. Operation of the Office of Management and Support: The CO will be assisted by the Office of Management and Support at UC, which will deal with the administrative and financial responsibilities of the project at all levels. The Office will handle all the necessary paperwork, ensure the ongoing monitoring of deliverables, be in regular contact with the EU program officer and prepare and submit the technical and financial progress reports to the EU.

Task 1.3. Financial monitoring, assessment, and timely completion of project’s deliverables: Funds will be centrally managed by the Financial Office of the CO Institution. The CO will collect and process cost statements and scientific reports, monitor finances and enforce the EU financial guidelines. The Program Manager will verify all cost reports before they are passed on to the EU and will advise the CO holder accordingly.
